I Saved You, and You Said You Never Asked: I'll Just Watch the Show

Lu Yun is an online novelist. One day while fishing, he saw a girl fall into the water and bravely jumped in to save her.

But she accused him of touching her thigh and called it sexual harassment, then posted a full-blown exposé online and incited a cyberbullying campaign against him.

When Lu Yun confronted her, the self-righteous young woman declared, “He did save me, but I never asked him to. He was just being presumptuous.”

At the crucial moment, the Outlaw System awakened: Reward, Level One Curse, “Bad Luck.” Use the curse to make anyone suffer misfortune at any time: choke on water, walk into a utility pole, or have every teammate's computer shut down while gaming...

After the Host successfully fought back against the trolls, he received a Level Two Curse, “Misfortune”...

A few days later, the young woman who had cyberbullied Lu Yun fell and crooked her nose, broke her jaw while kissing her boyfriend, and fell into the river while strolling along the bank.

Lu Yun, who was fishing nearby, immediately jumped into the water and swam around her ten times. After the young woman finally climbed out, she turned and angrily demanded, “Why didn't you save me just now?”

Lu Yun spread his hands. “You didn't ask me to. Why should I save you?”

If saving you means getting falsely accused, I'd rather sit back and watch the show.
