A high-dimensional big shot lives inside me, and every night she forces me to study occult medicine.
Other people are reincarnated into romance plots. I got reincarnated into a horror movie!
Gu Lingyi is the least remarkable daughter of the Gu family, but two souls lie dormant inside her: one is her timid self, and the other is a woman from a high-dimensional world.
“If you want to stay alive, make a pact with me,” she whispered in my mind in the dead of night. “The karmic debt your Gu family has accumulated over generations has come back to haunt this generation, and that includes you.”
The family’s bizarre, gruesome deaths, my parents’ nightly nightmares, a hundred infant coffins unearthed beneath the ancestral home... Every eerie incident points to a blood-sacrifice ritual from three hundred years ago!
To escape this deadly predicament, I’m forced onto the path of occult medicine, using silver needles to strike ghost acupoints and talisman water to cleanse wronged spirits. But then I discover:
Every time I save a family member, another bloody scene from a past life surfaces in my memory;
Every time I break a family curse, a string of bizarre crimes occurs elsewhere in the city;
When I finally uncover the truth behind my family’s karmic debt, the woman inside me suddenly sneers. “Congratulations, you’ve cleared the level. But the collapse of cause and effect in this parallel world has only just begun.”
Now, our two souls are forced to join hands, sharing one body as we cross between two worlds. In the real world, I clean up a century’s worth of my family’s mess, while in high-dimensional space, we face something poised to devour the entire world
