After Yun Jingli loses her master, Yu Qingzi, she joins her companions Bai Yunshu, Jiang Yu, and Zaifu Yulin in secretly investigating the traitor within the Jiutian Sect, how her master came to be tainted by demonic energy, and why someone sought to seize the Phoenix Feather in the Polar Realm. Their journey ultimately becomes one of redemption and self-growth. The story centers on the four of them: rather than going along with the crowd and falling into the whirlpool of romance, they choose to stand by and support one another, help each other find redemption, and grow together.
