He was the genius everyone talked about and the pride of his teachers. Whenever teachers reminisced about the students they had taught, they all thought of Jiang Jinyue, because he was simply too outstanding.

Back then, Xu Yuan didn’t understand what it meant to like someone. She had only heard people say that Jiang Jinyue was amazing and handsome, over 180 centimeters tall, and good at basketball. He was exactly the kind of boy every girl would like.

Later, he got into A City No. 1 High School, ranking first and scoring over a hundred points ahead of the second-place student.

Xu Yuan heard about it from her teachers, too, because nearly every teacher loved to talk about him. When they did, Xu Yuan thought of the line “A vast river beneath the moon,” since every character in his name appeared in the poem.

Xu Yuan thought they would never meet again, and that even if they did, he wouldn’t recognize her. Unexpectedly, she wound up at Jiang Jinyue’s high school by a stroke of luck. She only got in near the bottom of the rankings, but she was still happy, because she would get to see him.

He had remembered the little girl who gave him a bandage for many years. He had looked for chances to approach her, but was afraid of frightening her, so he kept his distance. When she appeared in his world again in high school, he made up his mind to win her heart.

She thought it was a one-sided crush, but it turned out to be mutual.

When you meet someone dazzling in your youth, everyone else seems a little lacking., Xu Yuan
