The Humanoid Godzilla Doesn't Really Like Fighting

[Monsters + research + System + one heroine + invincible + everyday life + Are there really no Ultraman here?!]

Inside the Special Monster Investigation Bureau, a towering man two meters tall, powerfully built, with chiseled features, a stern expression, and a mouthful of sharp teeth, sits before an HR representative. The HR representative gives him a strange look.

“This is the monster investigation bureau, not the monster combat bureau. You’ve come to the wrong place, haven’t you?!”

“No, I haven’t,” Cheng Ye says in a low voice, then gestures for the HR representative to look at his file.

“I have four doctoral degrees: monster anatomy, monster behavior, monster organ studies, and monster genetics.”

HR: “I know you have four doctorates, but with that physique, you’d be better suited to the combat bureau!”

Cheng Ye: “Isn’t it reasonable to get a little stronger so I can dissect monsters?”

After spending 70 years as Godzilla in the Toho monster universe, Cheng Ye has fought Kong, slaughtered Baragon, and destroyed King Ghidorah. For 70 years, he did nothing but fight, or prepare to fight, all to complete the System’s beginner quest. At last, after becoming invincible in the Toho universe, the System awakened, and he transmigrated yet again. Then he checked the System: it was a research System. Cheng Ye was pretty happy about that, too.

Cheng Ye: “I’ve been fighting for 70 years! I really don’t want to fight anymore!”

Special Monster Investigation Bureau: “Dr. Cheng Ye’s wisdom is truly astonishing!”

Special Monster Combat Bureau: “Dr. Cheng Ye’s physique! So strong and powerful! Strong and powerful indeed!”
