Little Rose

"I am a faded rose in a corner.

I was born at an inconspicuous bend in the road. My seeds had only just been sown, and I was as unremarkable as the place where I grew.

Lately, there has been a young man who always comes to my side at midnight. Even in early spring, the night wind is bitterly cold.

I don’t understand why he can stand for so long in that dim corner, in the shadows between light and night.

It seems he’s been kicked out again. I’m in the corner across from his house.

This time, he came to see me with an injury.
