We need heroes, people need heroes.
This time, the world will be saved by us!
Humanity paid a heavy price, closed the wormhole at the bottom of the deep sea, and drove the monsters away from the earth, but it always remained vigilant against the monsters. In order to cultivate a new generation of drivers, the Pacific Rim Joint Military and Defense Forces conducted rigorous training for the trainees. However, during the training, the mecha exploded, and one trainee died on the spot. The fear of death and unknown instantly enveloped the entire base. On the one hand, monsters are ready to move in the wormholes on the seabed. On the other hand, there is constant suspicion among students due to competition. Who is behind all this? What are the dark secrets of Shattered Dome? What is the connection between mechas and monsters? Can these young people prevent this catastrophe and save all mankind?

A very good novel, with multiple clues narrated simultaneously. Ouyang Jinhai's pilot training is the overt thread, and the destruction of the monster organization is the hidden thread. As the author narrates the time and place, the story of the mecha pilots and their mecha battles in the movie also unfolds, enriching the fullness of multiple characters and making it well worth watching. But be careful to distinguish the timeline
"Pacific Rim Prequel" made me feel the courage and persistence of young people. The mecha battle scenes described in the book are very exciting. I can imagine myself in that scene, fighting the monsters. This reminds me of my own efforts to get out of the mountains. Although it is full of difficulties, there is hope as long as you don't give up. This book teaches us that we can all be our own heroes when facing unknown challenges.
When I read this book after watching the movie, I felt a little awkward. Shouldn't this book be a sequel? But it is still very interesting. I just need to figure out the story line of the two books.
