A devoted couple + farming (early on) + political intrigue + sweet romance + twists
Le An died in a hospital bed after battling cancer for three years. When she opened her eyes again, she had transmigrated into the body of an exceptionally unfortunate, plain-looking woman.
The orphaned daughter of a wealthy family, with a terrifying face, she was manipulated by a scheming young general into marrying him with a simple marriage contract, only to be sold off to the countryside after his concubine plotted against her at every turn.
To survive, Le An had no choice but to marry a frail scholar in the village, a man who couldn’t even harm a fly.
She had planned to make the best of things, but the scholar seemed to have absolutely no survival skills.
Not only was he so delicate and weak that he might drop dead at any moment, he knew nothing about farming, and his cooking was downright terrible.
Life is a stage, and he gets by on his acting skills.
Aside from having a mouth to feed every day, all he has is a belly full of schemes to torment her.
Le An had thought she would spend the rest of her life quietly earning money to support the household, but then she discovered that this man was no ordinary person.
Until one day...
The young general arrived with an ironclad army, thundering down the main street and throwing everyone into a panic.
“Welcome back to the capital, Heir!”
Now that the two rivals were face to face, one of them could only stare in jealous fury, feeling as if his head were covered in a vast green prairie.
A hidden treasure from the previous dynasty, strange happenings in the martial world, palace secrets, a prince raised as a substitute... Behind it all, an invisible pair of hands seemed to be moving the pieces and controlling the game...
The book is very good and I like it very much. I hope you can update it. I feel a little uncomfortable not reading half of it.
