The High God Faces a Trial, but the Demon Venerable Keeps Interfering

[Two male leads + equally powerful + 1v1 + light fantasy + powerful leads]

[Arrogant, domineering Demon Venerable + impossibly handsome High God]

A thousand years ago, gods and demons were sworn enemies, until General Yan Yi of the Heavenly Realm and Demon Venerable Qi Yuan fell in love...

--

In a dream

“A Yuan... Dressed all in black, you look absolutely awful.”

“A Yuan...”

When he saw him again, the man who had always been clad in black was wearing pristine white robes, standing beside him like an immortal descended from heaven.

“Once I've eradicated every demon in the world, I'll keep you locked away!”

“A Yuan, wait for me...”

“Yan Yi!”

“Yan Yi and Qi Yuan fell in love, already violating the laws of heaven. And the worst part... they're both men. As the great general charged with vanquishing demons, how can he ever command the hundred thousand heavenly soldiers and generals again?”

“Your Majesty, this must be punished severely as a warning to others, lest future generations follow their example!”

“A Yuan, wait for me...”

In the final scene, Yan Yi leapt from the Platform of Three Lives.

As long as I can be with you, what does it matter if my bones are scraped and my skin flayed? And why should I fear the heavenly tribulation that comes once every hundred years?
