Five-year-old Xia Xi meets five-year-old Gintoki. Feared by the people around them, the two children are called ghouls, until passing by Shoyo takes them in.
At fifteen, Xia Xi and Gintoki have lost their teacher and the private school that felt like home. They become members of the Joui army.
At twenty-five, after their dreams have fallen apart, Xia Xi and Gintoki open a Yorozuya in Edo and build a home of their own.
Xia Xi's wish is simple: to have a home and stay with Gintoki forever.

Heads-up: I'll try to get close to Gintama's writing style, though it probably won't be very similar (scratches head). The female lead is original, so I suppose some OOC is inevitable in fanfiction (scratches head).
