Synopsis: It was a perfectly ordinary morning. Zhan Ming, like countless other miserable corporate drones, was rushing to an early shift. While waiting at a traffic light, he suddenly heard a rumbling overhead. Everyone looked up and saw the huge shadow of something unknown streak across the sky.
When they lowered their heads again, still wondering what it was, two burly men had appeared in the middle of the road.
One had a machine gun, the other a rocket launcher. They gave everyone no time to react before opening fire indiscriminately.
“What an absurd way to die. It’s like something out of a dream!” Zhan Ming quipped as he fell.
The big picture: In this world created by “God,” the players are nothing more than insignificant NPCs, and the world itself is just a game created to entertain other gods.
The 54 cards are the game's original rules, but they're really just a starting point…
Content warning: The writing is rather amateurish. The framework is decent enough, but the prose doesn't quite do it justice. The protagonist is somewhat naive in how he handles things. Once he gets to know someone and realizes they're a decent person, he lets his guard down. There are lots of everyday scenes and quite a few supporting characters, while the romance takes up relatively little space. The mutual attraction between the leads may come across as mostly love at first sight based on looks.
The article is a bit immature, but it is true and novel. It is an Infinite Flow novel based on playing cards. Zhan Ming's image is described in detail, which is very suitable for the performance of suddenly traveling from a peaceful era to the cruel Infinite Flow world. He is kind without losing his edge, and is smart without being cunning. Fortunately, most of the people he meets are good people, and there are not many depictions of the cruel world.
