Hooked on His Sweet Talk: My Ex Keeps Flirting with Me

[Mutual first love + simmering tension + rekindled love + sweet, steady romance + heroine pursues him early on + hero fiercely dotes on her later]

[Early: proud, alluring heiress x aloof, self-disciplined prodigy, a slow-burn, sweet romance]

[Later: once-wealthy, now downtrodden office worker x ruthless new business tycoon with a harmless facade, some angst, and a groveling chase]

Li Ruo and Fu Weiye were people from two different worlds.

She was Li Ruo, a pampered but never spoiled heiress, an elegant moon admired from afar by the rich young men of high society.

He was Fu Weiye, a strikingly handsome prodigy from a top university, a brilliant scholar pursued by countless girls but always cool and self-possessed.

They flirted back and forth, caught somewhere between friendship and love.

Fu Weiye was aloof and secretly passionate, but never made the first move.

Li Ruo: I'll do it!

She pursued him, confessed first, offered him her first kiss, and did all the open flirting and subtle seduction herself.

They had only meant to have a short-term romance, but somehow they fell more deeply in love by the day.

Fu Weiye was about to leave the country to pursue his doctorate, but Li Ruo had no choice but to help her sick mother save the family business from relatives who had framed them. She gave up on their relationship.

He left in despair, cutting off all contact with her.

Five years later, Li Ruo had vanished from high society and become a meek, put-upon office worker.

Fu Weiye, meanwhile, was a rising business tycoon constantly featured in the financial news.

He was untouchable, while she had fallen as low as dust.

To get revenge, Fu Weiye targeted her at every turn and forced her to become his mistress.

After repaying what she owed him, she chose to leave.

Not long afterward, all of Yancheng's upper circles were abuzz with the rumor:

Mr. Fu, who had been surrounded by women, was holding the fallen heiress Li Ruo and pleading desperately,

“Nuonuo, please come back to me...”
