In the ninth year of Wude, Emperor Gaozu of the Tang Dynasty, Zhang Shaofei, the governor of Zhongzhou, visited Wenlong, the governor of Chang'an. Wenlong took out a pair of "Hongxi Cups" and drank with Zhang Shaofei. Seeing that Zhang Shaofei couldn't put it down, Wenlong gave one to Zhang Shaofei. Although Wenlong and Zhang Shaofei were Jinshi scholars, they could only see the exquisiteness and exquisiteness on the surface of the "Hongxi Cup", but they could not see the mystery inside.
Soon, Zhang Shaofei experienced tragedy and misfortune. He was framed by a traitor and was demoted to the land of the Southern Barbarians. In the Tianlu Mountain, where the emperor is far away and the tigers and beasts infested and hurt people, he hung a pot to save the world, subdued the dragon and subdued the tiger, educated the bullies, magicians and mountain people, and performed a euphemistic, lingering and touching love affair with the goddess in distress. He also repaid evil with virtue, treated his enemies and taught them the Dharma, so that they would change their ways and become a Buddha immediately; he preached the Dharma to the Emperor of Liao, making him repent and vow not to invade the Central Plains again, so that the people would not suffer the scourge of war; he preached the Dharma to the Emperor of the Tang Dynasty, making him a benevolent king.
