Chasing the Light: Cabernet Sauvignon

Murong Yan died in a car accident abroad. Her fiance, Wei Chengjun, brought her ashes back to their home country, but the plane hit turbulence and her ashes scattered over a sea of clouds. When she woke up, Murong Yan discovered that she had been reborn. She decided not to attend the alumni reunion, thinking that this would keep her from meeting her fiance again. But fate brought her and Wei Chengjun back together anyway. Murong Yan suspected that there was more to her death than met the eye, and even wondered whether Wei Chengjun had been involved in her murder. She was no longer the “white lotus” she used to be. Now she wanted to be a thorny “black rose” and find out who had tried to kill her. Just then, Murong Yan's “handsome confidant,” Tang Yilong, returned from abroad and begged her to take him in, acting as if he wanted to live off her. Gradually, Murong Yan discovered that Tang Yilong was actually the CEO of a multinational investment group. He stood up to the male lead for her, threatened to pull his investment, pretended to be her boyfriend, and helped her investigate who was behind the attempt on her life. Tang Yilong told her that if Murong Yan wanted to be a “black rose,” then he would be a “black spider,” protecting her and making sure she would never be hurt again. But there was someone else lurking behind their love triangle, waiting for an opportunity. That person was Jiang Qingxia, Wei Chengjun's former fiancee. In truth, Jiang Qingxia concealed a tale of revenge involving Cabernet Sauvignon, and fate had been playing cruel tricks on all of them. After being reborn, the male and female leads were caught in another car accident. Just before he died, he pushed Murong Yan out of the car, but he himself was killed. Murong Yan returned to the antique shop abroad to find the old woman who had sold her the Cabernet Sauvignon and begged her to save the male lead. The old woman told her that she had to face her true love for him to be saved.
