The Story of Minglan: The Red Wolf Is Reborn

At the age of 70, Sheng Hong lies in bed reflecting on his life: he retired with the rank of second grade, his sons have made him proud, his daughters married well, and he raised the Sheng family’s standing. By all rights, he should be content with how his life turned out. But as people get older, they dwell on things more, and some memories always leave them with regrets. Whenever he sees Minglan acting polite but distant toward him, while fawning and acting sweet around the Old Madam, he can’t help feeling uneasy. He did wrong by her and her mother back then. And as for Molan, he only wishes he’d seen Lin Yiniang’s false affection for what it was sooner. She ended up holding that child back… The more he thinks about it, the more he regrets it. If he could live his life over, would there be a chance to set so many things right?
