(One female lead, though this may be a little different from other one-female-lead stories. The protagonists meet early on, but because the plot calls for it, the male lead also dates the second female lead for a while. Like other stories with one female lead, those usually open with the male lead getting dumped. In this one, I wrote the story leading up to his breakup, since it helps develop the leads and move the plot forward.)
After having a few drinks at a friend’s house, Luo Ping was on his way home when he ran into a girl in the park who looked utterly heartbroken. And so the story began:
“Um, what’s your name? I can’t just keep calling you Little Stutterer, can I?”
“My name is Luo Ping.”
“What?”
“You’re called Luo Ping? If you’re Luo Ping, then what am I called?”
The girl, whose real name was Li Lele, was so baffled by Luo Ping’s strange question that she even forgot to eat the bread in her hand. She stared at him in confusion.
“Um, my name is Luo Ping too. Luo as in the four-sided ‘Luo,’ and Ping as in peace.”
