Like a Game, Like a Stage

Romance 1: Yan Xiyang and Ji Duanxiao

Though Yan Xiyang seems ruthless and cruel, Ji Duanxiao has long seen the person he truly is. A childhood spent in inhuman conditions shaped him into someone torn by inner conflict. He seems strong but is soft-hearted, trying to push away everyone who doesn’t belong in his life while also depending on the other man, torn between clarity and surrender.

Ji Duanxiao looks like a refined young gentleman, but he has long considered Yan Xiyang the only one for him. Years of longing have twisted his feelings into something destructive.

“Why would you do something like this?”

“…”

Romance 2: Song Nianming and Wang Siyi

When Hong Kong diplomat Song Nianming learns that her first love, Wang Siyi, is working in Shanghai, she goes home to see him, only to discover that he was indirectly responsible for her parents’ deaths. She gives up her promising career and stays close to him, intent on getting revenge.

“Are you really going to kill me?”

“You deserve to die.”

Romance 3: Ji Wang and Mo Tu

The two had been by each other’s side since childhood and promised to stay together forever. Later, their clan leader took control of them. During their final attempt to escape together, an accident struck their boat, and they both fell into the sea. Mo Tu thought he had saved Ji Wang, but when he made it ashore, all he had was a corpse and a jade pendant from his own body.

“If I’d known that was the last time I’d see you, I should have told you…”

“Stay safe…”

“…”
