The moment Cui Yuan opened her eyes, she went from a young woman to the mother of four grown sons.
Not one of the four was easy to deal with. Her eldest son was only tough on his own family, her second son was honest and mild-mannered but wanted to climb over the wall, and her third son seemed decent but was actually crooked. Her youngest daughter was selfish and narrow-minded, too.
Cui Yuan was so furious she nearly blacked out and gave them all a demonstration of dying on the spot.
From then on, the Li family was in constant chaos, and the villagers craned their necks to watch the spectacle!
But the more they watched, the richer the Li family seemed to get.
Her eldest son became an imperial merchant through farming, her second son mended his ways and became the most devoted husband imaginable, her third son rose through the ranks and entered government to speak up for the people, and her youngest daughter risked her life for the people and was granted the title of county lady.
Cui Yuan was immensely pleased. But why had the handsome young man from that mountain village never aged a day, and why was he still saying he wanted to marry her?
It's nice to read and well written, but the ending is a bit rushed and sloppy.
She taught her children well, treated them fairly, and was not partial.
Very nice book, keep it up
Good writing, good story, good, good, good
It's pretty good
The writing is okay. In the end, it was found out that the couple in the state government were vicious, cruel and disregarded the king's law. They set up a private court to deal with it, which made the young marquis miserable. Fortunately, someone was rescued in the end.
It doesn't have much to do with farming. Many books have something to do with the royal family.
The content is rich and colorful. The more you read, the better it gets. The author is awesome.
