A wedding turns Xia Xiyan into a laughingstock. Her husband sends her father to prison, then keeps her by his side to humiliate her in every way.
When she becomes pregnant with his child, he forces her to have an abortion. “Xia Xiyan, you don’t deserve to give birth to my child!”
Yet when a fire breaks out, he clutches her corpse and breaks down in madness.
Five years later, Xia Xiyan returns home with a boy and a girl.
Lu Beichen looks at the little boy, who is his spitting image, and says, “I’m your daddy.”
The two kids take him to a graveyard instead. “Look, Daddy’s grave is overgrown with grass taller than we are.”
Lu Beichen flies into a rage and offers a ten-billion bounty to bring his ex-wife back so she can have another child!
Xia Xiyan scoffs. “Lu Beichen, here are four words for you: keep the child, lose the father.”
It is a novel that I like very much and I have never missed reading it from beginning to end. Although the heroine's experience in the book is very sad, the happy ending is better than anything else.
Good-looking, good-looking, good-looking
