Arknights: A Tragic Song of Redemption

(The early chapters contain plenty of questionable points and original additions. Feel free to criticize my writing and setting, but no personal attacks. If you can't stand it, just click the top-left corner and we can part ways here. If you're willing to keep reading, thank you for your support.)

That lullaby came to an end, and the monster awaited the end of his life...

Or perhaps not.

The demon once known as Mephisto had become an awkward, misshapen "monster." When he awoke again, he found himself receiving treatment (being held captive) on Rhodes Island. Under the control of an unscrupulous Doctor, he signed a contract and became a new Rhodes Island staff member (tool).

Having lost the right to die, he must now face his past and make his own choices.

Whatever others think of him, whether pity, forgiveness, or hatred, those are ultimately just their opinions.

Only he can make his choices, and only he can redeem himself.

Whether he's Ines, Mephisto, or the Singer no longer matters. He will sing this elegy of atonement and walk again across the land that once cast him aside, until judgment comes and he earns the right to meet his dear friend again.

(After Chapter 8, Mephisto joins Rhodes Island as the Singer in an alternate timeline + early everyday-life chapters + every knife gets snapped in half + all-Doctor route + dual storylines + original characters and plot.)
