This book is a full-length martial arts novel co-written by the novelists Lu Shi'e and Zhang Genong in the Republic of China. It was written in the 1930s and consists of two episodes. The first episode was written by Lu Shi'e and the second episode was continued by Zhang Genong. Due to his old story, the author got three Feng Chen swordsmen, the woman in red dress, the female monk in black, and the old man with white ape. He collected their rumors and anecdotes and translated them into this novel, which is the beginning of his Northern Swordsman series.
