An office worker who just wants to get by has terrible luck and is caught up in the apocalypse. Swept along by the tide of events, he struggles to find his footing and eventually makes something of himself. Yet waves blossom and fade, over and over without end. Above the waves, their pearls shine brilliantly, but once they fall, they are dust.
