The story follows Wei Lai, who transmigrates into the world of a courtyard-house drama. After suffering a grievous injury, he learns that He Yuzhu was responsible. A miraculous Choice System activates, and Wei Lai vows to turn the tables. Using the System's power, he sends representatives of the courtyard's various factions to prison one by one: Silly Zhu, Bang Geng, Grandpa Yi, Jia Zhangshi, and the Widow Qin all end up behind bars. Along the way, Wei Lai relies on his own wit and the System's help to gradually establish a new order in the perilous courtyard, uncovering the currents swirling beneath its peaceful surface and forging a legendary comeback.
