My country's first biographical general history, pioneering biographical historiography and biographical literature, "Shiji" is a biographical history book written by the famous historian Sima Qian of the Western Han Dynasty. It is the first biographical general history in Chinese history and is listed as the first of the "Twenty-Four Histories". It records a history of more than 3,000 years from the legendary Huangdi era to the Yuanshouyuan period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. "Understanding the changes in the past and present, and studying the relationship between heaven and man", the whole book includes twelve chronicles, thirty families, seventy biographies, ten tables, and eight books, a total of one hundred and thirty chapters. Together with the later "Hanshu", "Houhanshu" and "Three Kingdoms", it is called the "First Four Histories". At the same time, "Historical Records" is also considered an excellent literary work, playing an important role in the history of Chinese literature. It was praised by Lu Xun as "the swan song of historians, the unrhymed "Li Sao"".

The book "Historical Records" is like a knowledgeable teacher, taking me through the long river of Chinese history. I like the various historical figures in the book. Their stories make me feel the ups and downs of life. This book made me understand that no matter how difficult we encounter, we must strengthen our faith and move forward courageously, just like I long to walk out of the mountains to pursue my dreams.
The swansong of the historian, the rhymeless Li Sao
