From September 12, 1948 to January 31, 1949, the strategic decisive battle between the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the Kuomintang army included three strategic battles: the Liaoshen Campaign, the Huaihai Campaign, and the Pingjin Campaign. The three major battles of Liaoshen, Huaihai, and Pingjin were unprecedented in the history of Chinese wars and very rare in the history of world wars in terms of scale and results.
