The Jiangning Annals: The Rise of the Great Liao

The Khitan people were a fierce and courageous nation. Ever since Yelu Abaoji conquered the land from horseback, the territory of the Liao Dynasty had continued to expand. But the rulers of Liao weren’t just useless men who knew how to ride and hunt. They understood that while a realm could be won on horseback, it could not be governed from horseback. The Khitan, a backward slave-owning state, would inevitably have to follow the example of the feudal dynasties in the Central Plains. But reform brought suffering. How many martyrs, how much blood and how many tears would this path demand...?

Watch as Ming Zan, a rough-hewn Han Chinese man, and the Khitan princess Yelu Sui champion Hanification reforms and help the Liao Dynasty rise, one step at a time!
