Deluded Battles Across Ten Thousand Worlds

The wars of a single dynasty, or even several dynasties, are only the tip of the iceberg. Everything above the firmament is but an illusion. As the myriad realms awaken and worlds vie for supremacy, who can stand proudly at the very summit? (This is the author's first novel, and it features quite a lot of different elements. The story is told from an omniscient point of view, with events chronicled year by year, somewhat like historical writing, though it's also very different. The beginning may be a little dull, as it's a slow burn. You can skip the first volume, which is a bit complicated. I hope you'll stick with the story. Also, the population grows very quickly in this novel, so please don't nitpick; go easy on me.)
