Records of the Forgotten River: This Place Would Fall Apart Without Me

My new work is here! Welcome to read it on Tomato Novel. I hope you'll enjoy it. Your support motivates me to write, and I'll do my best to tell every story well!

If a pitiful little girl asked you to take a photo with her, saying her kindergarten teacher had assigned her to take a picture with her mother, but she didn't have one, would you take pity on her and agree?

Lin Jiaqian did, and found herself caught up in a strange and sinister life.

On one side was a pitiful female ghost trying to tempt her into seeking revenge. On the other was a gentle, refined man who promised to let her go.

Trapped deep in the mountains and barely able to look after herself, who should Lin Jiaqian trust?

A Shadow in the Deep Mountains

Is human nature good, or is it evil?

After stepping in to suppress a vengeful spirit and hearing him tell his story through bloodcurdling sobs, Meng Ge released the boy from his restraint and began pondering this question, debated for thousands of years.

“They made mistakes, and you gave them a chance to turn over a new leaf. What about me? I did nothing wrong. Who gave me a chance to live?”

“Why is it that they can kill someone and get off scot-free just because they're young? I deserve to be killed by them? Why!”

A boy robs a gold shop at the mall. After he's caught, they contact his guardian. His mother screams furiously:

“Even if a young person kills someone, they can't be sentenced to death. He's still a boy. You can't say that about him!”

The child holds a knife to his mother's throat and smiles innocently. “Mom, is that true?”
