The male lead, Mu Zhenglin, was once the Supreme Land Immortal at the peak of the middle stage of the Sacred Immortal realm on the Central Origin Continent, as well as the master of Hongyue Immortal Palace. His wife, Luo Ruixi, was also a powerful mid-stage Land Immortal and the master of Yaochi Immortal Palace. When he was passing his tribulation to ascend to the Upper Origin Continent, enemies launched a sneak attack. As Luo Ruixi protected him, she fought Xiang Zhongliu, the master of Wuyang Demon Palace, who was also a mid-stage Land Immortal. All three ended up in the thunder zone, where the tribulation lightning’s power tripled and blew them to pieces.
Unexpectedly, his primordial spirit pierced through the Central Origin Continent and reached the Lower Origin Continent, where it possessed a five-year-old child with the same name. That child was Mu Zhenglin, maternal uncle to Emperor Tian Hongye of the Hulong Dynasty in the Lower Origin Continent, the youngest son of the emperor’s father-in-law, Mu Dequan, and the younger brother of Empress Mu Zhengxuan. At the age of five, the unfortunate child had been struck into an imbecile by his sacred weapon, the Ruyi Divine Whip, which had fallen from beyond the heavens. It remained hidden inside his body, absorbing his energy for twelve years, nearly sucking him dry. As his body grew weaker and his life hung by a thread, he married Luo Ruixi, the unattractive eldest daughter of Chancellor Luo Xiaodi, in hopes that the wedding would bring him good fortune and save his life. To his surprise, the bride was the very same Luo Ruixi whose primordial spirit had possessed a child of the same name back then. But the bride was abducted by Xiang Zhongliu, his enemy, whose primordial spirit had likewise possessed someone of the same name. Xiang also planted a difficult-to-cure Life-Locking Gu that would periodically flare up.
When his family’s lives were on the line, the whip’s artifact spirit awakened, and Mu Zhenglin awakened as well. He gradually regained his cultivation, healed his wife Luo Ruixi, and awakened her spiritual power. Together, they defeated their enemy Xiang Zhongliu, ascended to become immortals, and lived happily ever after.
The plot is compact, full of twists and turns, and the subject matter is good
The writing is smooth and the story is very attractive. I give it a five-star thumbs up.
The beginning was exciting. It was supposed to be a wonderful start, but unexpectedly, an accident happened. But it's good that none of them died. I look forward to what the plot will be next.
The plot is coherent and it is a rare good book. It's worth watching and can be read in one sitting. Not enough
