A New Era: Starting with Mechanical Parasitism

After Yang Shen arrived in the New Era of the apocalypse, he discovered that cultivators had code implanted in them, turning them into mechanical lifeforms.

By taking specially developed pills that laid the foundation for cultivation, they became mechanical lifeforms built from unique open-source code.

Every sect had an original source-code lifeform.

Becoming an immortal meant gaining the highest level of access to the codes governing heaven and earth.

“Jiexie System update in progress. Data recovery underway...”

“Warning: Code-based mechanical assimilation and distortion are severe. Prepare for data recovery and implantation.”

“Collect data and configure the corresponding virus. Implant it in the sect’s source body.”

Looking at his eight-year-old body, with its tiny arms and legs, Yang Shen’s first thought was to destroy the sect.

This System was insane.

Just as he was planning to lie flat, he happened to witness an immortal ascending.

A code-creature burrowed out of the immortal’s body and swallowed him whole before ascending to the upper realm.

Yang Shen watched the immortal scream in despair.

Could he really lie flat in a situation like this?

Would he dare?

His only goal now was to survive.
