The souls that died in the war were reshaped by unknown beings and thrown into the garbage dump of the multiverse. Li Lin, an energy body that has lost all emotions and only retains absolute rationality, accidentally summoned a funny character from the second dimension - Fat Zaemon. The two are forced into a strange alliance and plunge into a Blood Cross world where civilization has completely collapsed.
Here, the infected are not mindless zombies, but crazy beings who retain their intelligence, take pleasure in sadism, and have bloody crosses carved on their faces. In the face of endless atrocities and despair, Zaemon's weak "hero complex" and complaints seem so pale and ridiculous, and Li Lin's response is always an efficient, cold, and counterintuitive "clearance."
They drive a dilapidated school bus through rusty cities, deformed settlements and silent ruins, encountering cannibal camps, dark bazaars, thugs with military skills, and even new threats with increasingly weird behavior and shadows of cults. Li Lin pursues the essential needs of "movement" and "understanding", while Zaemon tries to catch a glimmer of humanity in the gap between fear and hunger.
This is a ridiculous journey through purgatory. Save the world? Never mind. Perhaps all they can do is survive with difficulty and witness the ultimate glory and darkness of human nature before madness devours everything.
