An unprecedented "ice pulse" swept across the world, not bringing an absolute cold doomsday, but covering most of the earth under a strange "active glacier." These glaciers have life-like qualities, grow slowly, contain unknown energy ("zero-degree energy"), and in their depths are frozen the remains of lost civilizations from the ancient earth and even alien stars. There is no silence under the glacier, but a "subglacial ecosystem" full of dangers and opportunities. Human beings were forced to establish "dome city-states" in glacial highlands (such as mountains and plateaus that were not completely covered) to survive, and "resonators" who were able to sense and control "zero-degree energy" were born. The story revolves around a "relic exploration team" that goes deep into the hinterland of the glacier. Not only do they have to fight against the harsh environment, strange beasts under the ice, and other forces competing for resources, they also have to uncover the truth about the "Ice Pulse", the mystery of the lost "Ice Age" civilization, and the cosmic secrets hidden behind the "Zero Energy".
