Living a good life is more important than anything else.
Nangong Ren wrote stories about the boundary between life and death in the emergency room and all kinds of people. The story of death is as heavy and solemn as the one you can feel when you step into the hospital, while the story about the living is so ridiculous and funny that you can't put it down.
As an emergency doctor, Nangong Ren recorded these experiences bit by bit during his remaining breaks every day. These are true stories that are more absurd than drama.
What is commendable is that the author who once suffered from depression and is used to seeing life and death in the emergency room still conveys such a positive signal to readers through these stories with passion and compassion: live well.

I wanted to gain some specific understanding of emergency department doctors through this book. Because I want to be a surgeon, I also started to read related books. Narratives are a good choice to start with. I have a deeper understanding of surgeons, and those desperate stories are really tearful to read but are so realistic.
I looked very tired and felt indescribable. It's not that "positive" either. After all, hospitals and the like are always closely related to life and death.
There are no grand scenes or exciting plots in the whole story. Some are just birth, old age, illness and death, separation and joy. The book also contains the author's thoughts and nagging.
Just being alive is pretty good, that's all.
The writing style of this book is real and vivid, and the writing style is concise and smooth. The author Nangong Ren tells the story that happened in the emergency room from the perspective of an emergency doctor, making readers feel the weight of life and death. He not only showed respect for life, but also conveyed a positive attitude towards life. I really like his book, highly recommend it!
Without too many bells and whistles, you can read a doctor's records and insights about his career.
