In my previous life, my fiance Xie Lin brought back a mortal girl named Ruan Xianxian from the lower realm. Ruan Xianxian had no foundation for cultivation, yet Xie Lin was convinced she had the talent and destiny to cultivate. He used my sect's resources and fed her magical treasures. At her urging, he even gouged out my eyes and took my spiritual root to give to her. She cultivated into an immortal and lived happily ever after with Xie Lin.
After I died a horrible death, I was reborn. I stopped devoting my thoughts to Xie Lin and took a male disciple of my own!
