The entire solar system is a prison, with Earth at its core. Long ago, the highest decision-makers in the real world used an ancient war as bait and declared every species susceptible to emotion a criminal, locking them all away inside, including their own soldiers. Even when the prison's inhabitants die, their souls can never leave. They can only be reborn within the prison.
The protagonist starts out as an orphan, struggling through hardship as he gradually comes to the attention of the ancient ancestors. He continuously improves his cultivation, unites a host of cultivators, and ultimately breaks out of the cage to begin a new life. He leads those branded as criminals and makes a brilliant life for them in the real world.
