The story differs somewhat from the original plot. The palace gates are never breached, the Four Wangs survive, and most of the story takes place more than ten years later. The characters' personalities differ in places, since a lot can change over ten years. If that's not to your taste, please don't read.
The male lead is the son of Gong Shangjue and Shangguan Qian. He's calculating and independent. To give the Gong family a helping hand, I've introduced some new characters.
The male lead goes undercover in Wufeng. He doesn't have much of a protagonist's halo, just an unreliable System. Most of the time, he relies on caution and quick thinking. The original couples will stay together. I might find Young Master Yuanzhi a beautiful, powerful wife, hehe.

My imagination tends to run wild, so later on I might take the main cast to the modern world for a bit of fun. Gong Ziyu and Gong Yuanzhi might have kids of their own, and the characters might even transmigrate back to the past to save Young Master Lang and the others. How to put it, unless you know everything from the beginning, and at the same time the two fall in love at first sight.
