Ling Chen resurrected his life, and just wanted to live freely. For the first ten years, Ling Chen's life was smooth, until he met the regent of Qi State next door.
Excerpt 1: Three years later, the former regent of Qi destroyed the four kingdoms and became the emperor. When Ling Chen was captured and not punished, Ling Chen became anxious. Based on various signs, he suddenly had a bad premonition. He looked over and over at Qin Haoyue's place suspiciously.
"Just say what you want to say." Qin Haoyue's voice contained no emotion or anger.
"I don't understand why the emperor brought me back. There are so many capable people and strangers around the emperor. I am of no use. I have already abdicated."
"What do you think?"
"Don't you still like me?" Ling Chen's words were full of doubts and a hint of suspicion. Although she heard that the new emperor had not taken a concubine yet, it couldn't be for herself.
"Yes." Qin Haoyue's tone was still neither salty nor bland, and there was even the sound of pages turning.
"Um... I think this is wrong. Your Majesty, let's forget it. I'm not interested in you, and I hope you don't have any thoughts about me." Ling Chen still refused as before.
"Ling Chen, I'm afraid you have forgotten that you signed the deed and we also paid homage to each other." Qin Haoyue put down the book and looked at Ling Chen with a half-smile.
Ling Chen saw that monster-like face, but he couldn't feel the slightest appreciation. The corner of his mouth was stiff, defeated, he turned around, shook his head and sighed: "Is there such a thing as a deed? I'll go back and think about it carefully, and I'll take my leave first."
