Escape

Chu Yu Ning was this close to escaping the rotten life she'd endured for over a decade. But who could have guessed that a transfer student who seemed to disagree with her at every turn would show up out of nowhere? And then they'd end up desk mates! That would have been bad enough... but he even forced her to study with him every single day! Qi Yu He: “What a coincidence.” As they stared at each other through the shop window, one was stunned, while the other raised an eyebrow and curled his lips into a smile. Chu Yu Ning: “...” Chu Yu Ning lowered her head and went back to eating instant noodles, treating the person outside the window like air. The person outside set down his bicycle and strode in on long legs. A blurry shadow fell across her table. Feeling an intense gaze from behind, she turned around and froze. “Need something?” Chu Yu Ning frowned, her expression less than friendly as she sized up the tall boy. He smiled at her. “Didn't expect to see you again so soon.” Chu Yu Ning: “...” Qi Yu He: “Looks like fate has brought us together again.” He smiled, lips curling. Hah! Some fate! She gave him a speechless look, then turned back to her noodles. (Just writing for practice. Don't expect any logic.)
