Chinese local chronicles are my country's unique cultural treasures and typical representatives of China's excellent traditional culture, connecting the history, present and future of the Chinese nation. China's excellent traditional culture is broad, profound, and rich in connotation. To fully understand and scientifically grasp China's excellent traditional culture, we cannot do without Chinese local chronicles; to inherit, carry forward, and innovatively develop China's excellent traditional culture, we cannot do without Chinese local chronicles. In a sense, without Chinese local chronicles, China's excellent traditional culture will be fragmented and even discontinued. Based on the new era, inheriting and promoting China's excellent traditional culture, and promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of China's excellent traditional culture, we should deeply understand the value positioning of Chinese local chronicles, accurately grasp the relationship between Chinese local chronicles and Chinese excellent traditional culture, and elevate Chinese local chronicles to their due height and place them in their due position, so as to give full play to their role as a leader, vanguard, and forerunner in the process of inheriting and developing China's excellent traditional culture.
