[Not a wish-fulfillment story + coming-of-age + pure interstellar setting + eight alien races + life-form evolution + interstellar warfare + conquest]
A dazzling cosmos, countless stars and planets. Civilizations of every kind, and thousands upon thousands of species. Humanity is not alone.
Earthling Si Lan is drawn by a mysterious force across the boundless stars, where his memories merge with those of a space pirate from another star system. A commoner who has never even left his own country: how far can he go, struggling to survive in an unfamiliar region of space beneath the shadow of advanced civilizations?
Humans, beasts, insects, gods, elves, green spirits, machines, crystal beings...
Technological civilizations, bloodline-awakening civilizations, genetic-breeding civilizations, mecha civilizations, nature civilizations, biochemical civilizations, mechanical civilizations, inorganic mineral civilizations...
Does time have a beginning and an end? Does space have limits?
Across the vast cosmos, among all living things, is there an ordered force guiding them, or do they emerge spontaneously from chaos?
One flower, one world; one leaf, one bodhi. The cosmos is but dust...
