Jade, also known as jadeite, jadeite, jadeite, and Burmese jade, is a type of jade with a color of emerald green (called jade) or red (called jade). It is a jade-grade polycrystalline aggregate mainly composed of jadeite, omphacite and sodium chromium pyroxene formed during geological processes. Jadeite is also called jadeite. The color is mainly green, and there are also red, yellow, white, etc. The red ones are called Fei, and the green ones are called Cui. The standard of its quality lies in color and ground. When it comes to color, green is the most valuable, the thicker and fresher the better; while ground should be transparent, clean, and have a sense of moisture, commonly known as "glass ground." Jade seals with excellent color and quality are hard to find. They are the king of jade seals and are extremely expensive.
From the late 20th century to the present, the concept of collecting treasures in prosperous times has made the collection of jade more and more popular. Jade is no longer just a jewelry ornament to decorate and beautify people's lives, but also a messenger to spread jade culture. At the same time, with the progress of society and the development of science and technology, the identification of fakes and authenticity of jadeite and the judgment of its quality have become the primary issues in collecting jadeite.
To this end, we specially invited the deputy dean and associate professor of the School of Jewelry of China University of Geosciences (Beijing) to compile a total of 4 books "Jade Appreciation and Collection" (1 to 4), which comprehensively and in detail introduces the history, culture, formation, carving technology, water color, patterns, types of ornaments, identification of similar jades, optimization processing, value evaluation, purchase, collection and maintenance of jade. The text is easy to understand, and the pictures are exquisite. The combination of pictures and texts not only allows readers to feel the profound culture contained in jade, but also easily obtains knowledge about jade identification, purchase, collection and maintenance.
