Night Watch Bureau of the Tang Dynasty

Zhang Jinguang, the Celestial Master of Longhu Mountain, has his soul transported to a magical alternate world: the Tang Dynasty. There, he becomes a Night Watchman and awakens the Merit Rankings. From then on, he wields a peachwood sword to banish demons, subdue fiends, slay ghosts, and destroy monsters. If gods stand in his way, he kills them; if Buddhas oppose him, he destroys them; if immortals block his path, he slays them. In the end, he attains sagehood and achieves supreme freedom and bliss.
