A B-list actor has an accident while filming and wakes up in another Journey to the West world, with the standard transmigrator’s System from the start. To throw everything into chaos, he uses his knowledge of the story to lead the journey farther and farther off course. He goes through the same eighty-one tribulations Tang Sanzang faces in the book, but whose tribulations they really are is another matter. The demons and monsters may have had the rougher time of it. As a result, Guanyin Bodhisattva, the Buddhist Order’s executive director, is forced to keep making adjustments. It’s impossible to figure out exactly how many tribulations the scripture seeker goes through. To force the Journey to the West calamity to keep moving forward, quite a few big shots work overtime and add new scenes for themselves. So how does the story end? Readers will have to find out for themselves…
Oh my God, Guanyin Bodhisattva should not be let go.
