The Internet Hates Tough-as-Nails Daiyu, but the Awkward King of Pop Won't Give Up Chasing Her

[A whirlwind marriage into a wealthy family, an entertainment-industry comeback and face-slapping, a tough-as-nails beauty who's hated across the internet × a prickly King of Songs who can't help falling for her]

Entertainment megastar Gu Jinxi is born into a wealthy family, handsome and blessed with a beautiful voice. Adored by countless fans, he's forced to marry Su Ying, who's hated across the internet.

Before the wedding, he hands her a contract.

“Remember your place. You're just a tool to please my grandfather. Don't dream of getting anything you shouldn't.”

Forced to take part in a variety show with his new wife, he warns her, “Don't try to use this for publicity, and don't let anyone hear about our relationship.”

Who could have expected Su Ying to punch thugs, kick wild boars, patch roofs and fix walls, and still find time to put fake-sweet hypocrites in their place? She's a breath of fresh air in the entertainment industry. Fans squeal, “She's so cool!” “Let her shine on her own!” “Marry me, sis!”

Gu Jinxi sidles up to her with shameless pride. “Give up, everyone! She worries that I won't eat well, so she cooks for me. She worries I'll get tired, so she takes on all the dirty, tiring work. She's always paying attention to me. She loves me so much she can't help herself.”

Su Ying looks at the contract in her hands, baffled. “Weren't you just the sucker paying me?”

Later, Su Ying rises to fame, becoming a martial arts superstar and an international movie queen. Renowned directors abroad and literary masters all admire her, while the King of Songs can only chase after her, pleading, “Won't you look at me?”
