[One Couple, One Love] [No Cheating] [Alternate-History Setting] [Charming, Clever Little Fox vs. Sly, Brooding Big Bad Wolf]
Miao Yu was sold into the palace at the age of ten. With no family or friends, her life had a few bumps along the way, but it was still bearable. In the deep palace, schemes and rivalries were everywhere, from the consorts and noblewomen in the various courts to the maids and eunuchs below.
She was just a little palace maid and had only wanted to live quietly and mind her own business. But she was simply too outstanding, attracting envy and resentment. Left with no choice, she could only follow the crowd and plunge into the palace intrigue.
To secure a little peace and make it safely to the age when she could leave the palace and retire, she had to resort to a few tricks.
Unexpectedly, she caught someone's eye. From then on, her peaceful retirement plans were doomed, and a new, extraordinary future began.
