Synopsis

In ancient times, the White Emperor Shaohao founded the Twelve Star Gates, each based on one of twelve animals.

As the ages passed, legends of the twelve zodiac animals gradually took shape among the people. Behind those legends, the leaders of the Twelve Star Gates throughout the generations led their twelve factions in secretly protecting the world under a variety of disguises.

In the modern era, under the cover of the Bureau of Folk Culture Affairs, Duanmu Yue, Shen Liuqing, Kong Xing, and their fellow disciples continue to uphold the legacy and mission of their predecessors.
