A century after a disaster reduced the continent to a wasteland, demons and savage beasts have risen to power, while humanity survives in its last stronghold, Alto City. Legend has it that only specially trained hunters can kill the demons and beasts that prey on humans.
Outside the city, a boy from the Forsaken Lands has yet to imagine that one day he will wield a demon-hunting blade and a beast-hunting blade, embarking on a path of revenge in the apocalypse.
