Depression Led Us to Save a Village

[Emotional Healing] [Rural Retreat] [Cultural Tourism Revitalization]

After her fiance died while supporting Wuhan, Jiang Xiaodong fell into severe depression three years ago.

At the urging of her best friend, Hua Yingying, she went to Dali to clear her head. After much effort, she found a completely abandoned ancient village.

She had come to lie flat, but there she met a group of depressed young people just like her, hiding away in the mountains.

Their faith in growing toward the light rekindled the life force that had been suppressed for years by the black dog of depression.

An ancient village that had been utterly abandoned was transformed into a popular tourist destination in the hands of these young people who had turned their backs on the world.

As they helped the village find new life, the depressed young people also managed to save themselves, offering a healing remedy to many others still trapped in darkness.
