The Complete Diary of a Spirit Medium

[Two equally strong leads + supernatural events + love and hate]

My family favored boys over girls from the start, and I grew up in a blended family with a stepmother. When I was six, my parents finally had the son they’d been hoping for. On my little brother’s sixth birthday, my father found a wolf cub while gathering firewood in the hills behind our home. Thinking it was a puppy, he brought it back as a birthday present to make my brother happy. But my brother was naughty and injured the cub, so it bit him. My family decided to kill the cub and make dog-meat soup to get revenge for my brother and help him regain his strength. I couldn’t bear to see that happen, so I secretly let the cub go. In return, I was beaten black and blue. My stepmother egged my father on to throw me into the hills behind our home and leave me there overnight to scare me. I never came back.
