Out of all the people in the capital, the one he falls for is a high-quality alpha: Mu Fanzhi. Shen Wucong starts by keeping him captive, then resorts to threats and temptation. Whenever Mu Fanzhi hears the name Shen Wucong, he trembles with fear. “Shen Wucong... please... please let me go.” This is the marriage he begged Heaven for. How could he give it up so easily? He tells Mu Fanzhi, “In the Shen family, there are only widows and widowers, never divorces. If you want to leave me, you can only do it in death.” Mu Fanzhi weeps tears of regret.
